Stella ("we," "us," "our") is an AI-powered personal astrology service that provides natal chart readings, daily horoscopes, compatibility analysis, and transit alerts via SMS and messaging platforms. Our website is dearstella.ai. Stella is operated by Dear Stella, LLC.
When you text Stella, we collect your phone number and the content of your messages. We also collect birth data that you provide — your birth date, birth time, and birth location — in order to generate your natal chart and provide personalized readings.
We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal information unless you voluntarily share it in conversation.
If you visit dearstella.ai, we may collect basic analytics data such as page views and referring URLs. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.
Your phone number is used to identify your conversation thread so Stella can remember context and preferences across messages. Your birth data is used to generate your natal chart, which enables personalized readings, daily horoscopes, compatibility analysis, and transit alerts. Your message content is used to understand your questions and provide relevant astrological guidance.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use your data to serve advertisements.
We use the following third-party services to operate Stella: Twilio for SMS messaging, Anthropic's Claude API for generating responses, Stripe for processing subscription payments, and Railway for hosting. Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data that passes through their systems.
If you subscribe to Stella, the payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information or payment details. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data. Your subscription status (active, cancelled, etc.) is stored in our system and linked to your phone number.
If you have provided your birth data, Stella will send you a personalized daily horoscope each morning. She may also send occasional transit alerts when significant astrological events are approaching. These messages are part of the core service and do not count against your free message limit. You can stop all messages at any time by texting STOP.
We retain your conversation history, birth data, and natal chart to provide a personalized experience over time. If you would like your data deleted, text STOP to Stella or contact us at the email below, and we will delete your conversation history, birth data, and phone number from our system.
You can stop receiving messages from Stella at any time by texting STOP. You can resume by texting START. If you have an active subscription and opt out, your subscription will remain active until you cancel it through the subscription management link.
Stella is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
